    Can't access widget function inside the WP admin area so I can't change my header & footer. Every time I try to access it, I get a fatal error message. I can access the rest of the site in the Admin panel.

    WP also sent me an error message with the code issue:

    Actually, I solved it. Apparently, the ENTIRE package and all plugins have to be installed. I wanted to leave out the LMS since we're not going to use it. But after I installed and activated it, the widget issue disappeared.
